VIREO School of Performing Arts Ltd, established in 2015, is a full service dance studio located in the heart of downtown Courtenay. VIREO is known for our unique environment, for our knowledgeable and invested instructors, and for the excellent quality dance education we provide.

While always promoting nurturing instruction, we firmly believe in helping dancers develop valuable life skills such as: accountability, discipline, work ethic, inclusivity, initiative, and commitment. Because of this balance, we have seen tremendous growth in our students' technique, training, and performance quality in a short amount of time. But most importantly, we have watched young dancers develop the courage to dance on stage, and gain the confidence and belief in themselves to express who they are through dance and in life. We have had the pleasure and honour of watching our students become exceptional people who practice kindness, humility, and accountability in the studio and out. 

Alumni from years past often return to the studio throughout the dance year to teach or guest teach, to say hello, to check in and see how our younger dancers have grown, and they always stay in touch. That is proof that the important work we do at VIREO creates a love of dance and a special community to last a lifetime.
